CHOCOLATE SAUCE

3 tbsp Lyles Golden Syrup (the stuff with the dead lion on the front of the tin), 2 tbsp butter (use spoon as trowel), 3 tbsp cocoa powder.

Turn on the heat, get out small sauce pan and prepare to cook. Drop butter in sauce pan from approx 12", wait for it to melt, take off heat, pour in Golden Syrup and re-heat pan, stir with wooden spoon. Sift in cocoa using a sieve. Stir, lick the spoon, warning this may burn you. Stir and decide if it tastes good.

Serve on vanilla ice cream.

If youre going to give away trade secrets then please get you facts right: Do not measure quantities -varying consistency is part of the charm; use margarine so as not to offend any resident vegans/weirdos with poncy allergies;dont bother sieving the cocoa- occasional lumps can be crushed with a fork.

Variations:
You could also consider using the catapult (funetik) spoon motion when applying butter substitute.
Licking the spoon/ saucepan after serving alows for a more use friendly experience as taste buds will be in tact the next day.

P.S. Got any recipes for falafel please?

Falefel Recipe.

Take 1 can chickpeas, 1 can Foul Madamus (broadbeans in a cumin brine), 3 cloves of garlic, chopped parsley, salt and pepper, virgin olive oil, cumin

In a blender, mix all ingredients until the texture is like mashed potatoe. Season to taste. Add more oil if necessary or try a touch of smoked paprika.

Fry in good oil.
