Primitives and Pioneers is the new name for the promoters who brought you the TMF Rock Festival; this Frday check the first of their East London gigs kicking off with No Bra, Methodist Centre & Errormental live playing without a stage - face to face in a sweaty converted Victorian warehouse. With art installations from our pals Supermundane expect a very entertaining evening indeed.

The PDS are a band that are really causing trouble. DFAs newest signing. Every review I read about them seems to be shit. There isn't a single chord on the whole album but they really do rock. The music is in its rawest state, clangy guitars, punchy drums and a male-female spoken word combo which is crying out to be remixed. The ban is in place so I decided to quit, I suppose smoking cigarettes is like any habit, a habit. I got my bike changed to a one speeder around the same time and I am really feeling the benefits of exercise. I haven't turned into a preacher I just think it's tops saving £80 odd quid a month as well.
