One of the highlights of half term was meeting an artist called Tom Kemp who does the most fantastic abstract pieces. Tom is based in Oxford and I was lucky to spend a few hours at his studio browsing through the vast material that he has produced over the last few years. He started out as a quill maker, moved into calligraphy and then into producing his art. Recently he has branched out into digital work using a flatbed scanner to produce a series of pyschodelic images, and has also started plastering his work Banksy-style around the big cities. Tom has also directed a video for Four Tet for the forthcoming album "Everything Ecstatic". Check them out.
